Netaji's Activities in East Asia

The first and foremost duty , he decided was to reorganised Indian Independence League and to secure recognition of the Provisional Govt. of Free India. At this stage the strength of the Indian National Army was 13,000, when Netaji took over command.
Netaji then went on a whirlwind tour of Malaya, Thailand, Burma, and French Indo-China to rouse Indians there to come forward and sacrifice their all including their lives, in final battle for India's Freedom. The response was overwhelming.
Netaji also reorganised the IIL , headquarters and expanded its activities.He extended the functions and Departments over the existing departments, General finance, Publicity, Intelligence , and Training, into the following;
1. Social Wrlfare, 2. Women's Affairs, 3. National Education and Culture, 4. Reconstruction, 5. Supply, 6. Overseas, and 7. Housing and Transport.
Dr. Lalkshmi Swaminathan, who later became Commandant of the Rani of Jhansi regiment and a Col. of the INA was placed in charge of the Women's Department. Instructions were issued to strengthen the League branches throughout East Asia on the above guidelines. Netaji divided his time between League Headqurters and the Headquarters of the Supreme Command of the INA.

Having satisfied with the organisation of the INA and the Provisional Govt of Free India established in Singapore, on the Historic Day of October 21 , 1943  in less than four month's time after take over the leadership of the movement in East Asia.
The next day he opened the Rani of Jhansi Regiment Camp , which was immediately flooded with hundreds of exuberant Indian women in Singapore.  
A few days later countries - Japan, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Burma, thailand, National China, the Philipines, and Manchuria- accorded their final recognition to the Provisional Govt of Azad Hind. A week after the formation of the Provisional Govt. Netaji flew to Tokyo where he attended the Greater East Asia Conference in the first week of Nov . Premier Tojo decided to Hand Over the two islands , Andaman and Nicoberto the Provisional Govt.
Netaji visited the islands on 31Dec 1943 and renamed them as













Shaheed and Swaraj.
FromAndamans , Netaji flew to Burma via Bangkok and established the headquarters of the of the provisional Govt. of IIL and the INA supreme command in Rangoonand the rear headquarters in Singapore.

  2. Good job done. Younger generation need it. This unknown is a trouble maker . Ha been told that as per copyright laws a photographer has the copy right. Any pic given, gifeted to a person doesnot make hi copy right over it.
