Bose in Europe - 1934

In early 1934, Bose wrote to Mrs Vetter, giving a summary of what inspired him in Rome.He had attended the opening ceremony of the Oriental Institute of Italy , the Indian Students' Convention , an the Asiatic Students' Conference. Thelatter event in the Julius Caesar Hall was
Bose noted that he stayed on after the meetings in Rome for a fortnight , 'in order to explore the ground and make some friends if possible for the cause of India, 
To others of his confidants , Bose revealed details and he wrote to his nephew Asoke, I had two meetings with the big boss,' he also toured the municipality of Rome and planned with Prof. Tucci to work on an India center in Rome. To his Berlin host Lothar Frank, , Bose reportedly gave details of his conversation with Mussolini,
This was the first of Bose's many visits to Italy and the first of his incounters with Mussolini. Through the following years , Bose received positive support from Mussolini. Later in 1934, in his lengthy account of Indian Politics and the future of India, Bose added,
