Janaki nath Basu expired
At the end of 1934, Janakinath Basu became seriously ill. At the news of his father's illness, Subhas Chandra, ( Subhas Chandra doing sradh of his father) without the permission of the British Government, came to India by air on 3rd December,1934. But Having reached at Karachi airport he got the news of his father's death. With his broken heart he came to Calcutta. Immediately on the arrival at Dumdum airport, an warrant was issued informing him to go straight to his house, at Elgin Road, where he was interned for the period of the time of completion of Sradh ceremony of his father. Subhas Chandra came back to Europe again with broken heart and fell seriously ill. He needed immediate operation which was done by the famous Doctor Demmel of Vienna. At this moment he confined himself to writing of 'History of the Indian Natiomnal movement. but he could not finish it. He joined in the Conference of Indian Central European Society on 6th June 1935. He also joined asiatic students' Conference held in Vienna in Dec 1935. this conference was inaugurated by Mussolini.
